This Large Commercial Building in Philadelphia is a 46-floor project. Work began in early 2007, when Colonial Electric partnered with a large electrical contractor to retrofit the lighting and controls in the building to make it energy efficient and to reduce energy costs and increase productivity.
The plan included daylight harvesting, sensors, energy efficient ballasts, lamps and lighting fixtures. Six floors have been completed and the owners and tenants are more than satisfied with the changes and the increased productivity the changes caused. The project will be completed at the end of 2010 and will save them 50% of their energy costs. |
