Glassboro, New Jersey is in the midst of completing a $300 million dollar downtown revitalization that includes stores, restaurants, a hotel, a conference center and multiple facilities housing students who attend nearby Rowan University. Colonial Electric helped make these housing facilities Green by working with the architect to specify energy efficient lighting and controls. LED recessed cans, lighting controls, occupancy sensors and low wattage lighting were used to provide the housing facility with the appropriate light output needed for student living while decreasing energy costs approximately 50%. When the project is completed, all five buildings will be equipped with energy efficient lighting and controls, making part of this revitalization eco-friendly. |
