Avalon Fire House, a Colonial customer, needed a solution for old inefficient lighting. The customer was currently using standard fluorescent T12 fixtures that were giving poor output. Colonial’s Green Team member assessed the situation and designed a new lighting layout. This design included new T5 HO fluorescent lamps which gave out better light output with less energy. The new lights also had to be repositioned because the ceilings was so low which caused light to suffer in the current placement. Now the lights are placed correctly, the output is better, and Avalon Firehouse currently saves $319 per year due to energy reduction. |
